FMA BROTHERHOOD FTW

Who else thinks fma brotherhood is better than the normal fma???

I've only seen a few episodes of FMA so I wouldn't know, but how about saying why you think Bother Hood is better?

it follows the manga and everyone likes manga, more eps, better story line, better characters and goes deeper in to the story line.

I haven't actually watched Brotherhood. I cried at the ending of the normal series and the ending of the film disappointed me. SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER Who would want to stay in our crappy world anyway?

I want to watch Brotherhood in English dub though. Whatever language I watch an anime first in, that's the language I have to watch it in for the rest of it, so naturally I saw FMA in English. I watched the first Naruto in English though and Shippuden in Japanese. =/

I've never even tried FMA, but I guess I should based on recommendations lol.
I do prefer it when anime follows the manga, so brotherhood sounds better just by that imo xD

Argh, FMA is just so good. You should give the original series a try too, it gets really climactic and dark towards the end. I cried so much at it. XD

What is it actually about? I know that Ed's brother's soul is in like a metal suit, and that Ed has a metal arm, and that people ship Ed x Winry, and that's it lol

well ed and al's mum dies and they want to used alchemy to bring her back to life but it doesnt work and it takes al's body and ed's leg and ed wants al back so he fused al's soul in a suit of armour and the plot of the story is them looking for a way to bring their dead mum back to life and finding out horrible things about the philosophers stone

in this its a stone that is supposed to boost their alchemy powers to make ressurection possible

What came first, FMA or Harry Potter? Anyway, in both the Philosopher's Stone is an alchemic aid and a legend so I suppose more things than one can use it, it's just that Harry Potter made it more mainstream.

After Ed and Al try to bring their mum back they don't try to bring her back again, they just want their original bodies back because they've learnt their lesson. It goes really deep with a whole country conspiracy thing near the ending, it's amazing.

And FMA has the most awesome villains ever, the Homunculi. Homunculi are the aftermath of when people try to transmute someone back to life; they're animated bodies without souls. They have the same tattoo on a different part of their body, there's seven of them and they're all named after the Seven Deadly Sins.
