Genre of Anime

What Genre and/or sub-genre do you all like? For me I tend to like magic girl anime, but if the story is interesting, art is nice to look at and characters fun to watch, I could watch anything. I would name a few I like but most of them I've only seen a few episodes of so I won't bother.

I have seen a few episodes I should go back to it

Personally I have a kind of disliking for this 'Maho shojo' stuff lol xD But I like Shugo Chara a lot so I have exceptions.
I think my favourite genre is Horror, like Higurashi lol

Have you seen Darker than Black?
It's definitely not as long as Bleach or DBZ but has a nice storyline

its been recommended along various other stuff but im tryin to catch up on bleach

On the actual topic: Slice of Life is probably my chosen genre.

Yeah slice of life anime are good, I also like comedies and the occasional action/mecha. Romance anime can be a bit silly some of the time but it can be really sweet too xD

i presume its bad if i say harem *runs and hides*

but i love romance and comedys mainly

I normaly like/watch Horror anime mostly like e.g. Vampire hunter D/devilman/genocyber
but also like funny/sifi stuff to like megazone 23 and lensmen azumanga ^_^
Though i like to watch all <3

Bah, Animefox, I've watched a lot of harem and reverse harem anime xD
Even though I like Horror/violence anime, I think fighting anime might be one of my least favourite genres lol.

Ah, slice of life is good <3 I must admit, I prefer more realistic things to fantasy, but that's not to say I don't like fantasy of course - some are amazing. Fighting I get a little bored of, since I like slow(ish) moving character/relationship development more than just fight scenes ^^;
I tried watching Bleach but I really couldn't get into it, I prefer Uta~Kata or Sukisho (ha, yep, I like yaoi and yuri too, well, only the ones with good plots - if it's just sex scenes and nothing else I'm not really interested. 'Forbidden' or generally disapproved of relationships are so cute!)

Pfft.
There's a new yaoi coming out next season, I think it's by the same person who made Junjou Romantica.

I haven't really watched any yuri, I tried strawberry panic but it was boring xD;
I know what you mean about the whole plotline thing, I won't watch an anime if it has no general storyline, or if it repeats itself too many times, has too many fillers etc.
I never watched Uta~Kata...it sounded too magic girl to me xD;

Yah, Uta~Kata was magic girl, but I kinda ignored that bit and focused more on how people were being manipulated and deceived and stuff :p and The love... Square? Of manatsu, ichika, sei and Kai :3

Bluh, I just can't get into Magical girl very easily xD I like Shugo Chara! And Ultra Maniac, but that's it heh.
And yeah I like to look at the other side of things as well, like in Horror anime I like to look at the psychological aspects because I'm cool like that xD I could try looking at the romance and relationship aspects of Magical girl, but I think that's what I did with Shugo Chara! Anyway. Plus the art in the manga was gorgeous, I love Peach-pit ;;

Ah, I watched about 6 episodes of Shugo Chara (I always make myself watch at least 5 episodes before I give up on an anime) but I couldn't bring myself to watch anymore >A< It was so repetative ^^; Kinda the same reason I'm only on episode twenty-something of Tokyo Mew Mew and I started watching that nearly three years ago >_>
Ahah, I haven't watched much horror anime, but that's not to say I don't like it, I just don't think to watch it :p

Must admit, TMM isn't something I'd normally watch, I only started to watch it when Chi was cosplaing Mew Ichigo (ha, that was the begining of her nickname, and I end up forgetting her real name now XDD) just so I knew who she was.

Yes <333 I loved HOTD so much! Me and Chi might make a cosplay of that, only without the gihuge boobs >_> quite obviously.

Bluh, tbh, the boobs are the only thing stopping me from cosplaying from a lot of things xD; Screw you busty anime girls, you make cosplay such hard work OTL
Now I wanna rewatch HotD. Is there gon' be another season do you know?

Mostly what stops me cosplaying is the cost of materials "/ My figure doesn't bother me too much, even with the astute lack of breatliness =3=
I think there should be a season 2, cause the manga goes further than the anime, and the anime really didn't resolve anything >_> There's not official announcements yet I don't think, other than the OVA that should come out soon

It's not rly that my figure bothers me, it's the anime girls figure that bothers me heh xDD
